Cereal Drive Success: Goal Crushed!

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity of our school community! When we launched our Cereal Drive, we set a target of 200 boxes to be collected over the course of an entire month.

In an incredible show of spirit, our families reached that goalβ€”and then someβ€”in just one week! We officially closed the drive with a grand total of 230 boxes. All cereal donated will be used in our food program at Applewood.

April Character Trait: Leading the Change (Environmentalism)

April Character Trait: Environmentalism

This month, we are focusing on the character trait of Environmentalism. Being a good environmentalist means more than just recycling; it is about demonstrating respect for our planet and taking active steps to protect the world around us.

Throughout April, our students will be exploring ways to reduce waste, conserve energy, and appreciate the natural beauty of our local community. We encourage our Gators to lead by example: whether it’s ensuring our school yard stays litter-free or finding creative ways to reuse materials.

Let’s work together to make a green impact and show that small actions can lead to big changes for our Earth!

One Idea for at home:

⚑ The "Energy Detective" Game

Turn conservation into a game by appointing a "Chief Energy Officer" (a rotating role for the kids).

  • Unplug "Vampire" Electronics: Teach kids to unplug chargers or small appliances when they aren't in use, as they still pull power while plugged in.

  • The 20-Minute Timer: Challenge the family to see if they can get their showers down to a "power song" length to save water and heating energy.

  • Light Check: Every time you leave a room, the CEO does a quick sweep to ensure the lights are off.
